Here are a few points from God’s Word:
1. Life is short.
“For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” — James 4:14b
2. Death is sure.
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27
3. Sin the Cause.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” — Romans 3:23
4. Christ the cure.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”– Romans 6:23
Pray a simple prayer.
Tell the Lord that you know that you are a sinner and you cannot save yourself. Ask him to forgive your sins and to be your personal Savior.
That’s all it takes.
If you prayed that prayer sincerely, you are forever saved (I John 5:11-13). But don’t stop there! Get into the Word, get into a Bible-believing church, and get serving!
